Overview
This personal project explores a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Joglo house. The design preserves key elements of Joglo architecture while introducing a cleaner and more modern approach to the overall form, spatial arrangement, and visual presentation.
Challenge
The main challenge was maintaining the recognizable character of traditional Joglo architecture while creating a design that feels clean, contemporary, and suitable for modern living.
Solution
Traditional architectural elements were retained as the foundation of the concept, while the surrounding spaces, proportions, materials, and visual composition were simplified to create a more contemporary atmosphere.
